Dear Friends
Although the financing of the Inclues
Network via a project subsidy of the European Commission's Comenius
Programme (2003-2006) has been stopped, the Network nevertheless
continues to flourish. We are proud to announce a set of
publications containing a wealth of materials: a book and DVD, a
collection of scientific papers, models of good practice,
recommendations, lists of programmes. The core partners have now
been joined by more than 50 associated partners in Europe and beyond.
You can also still join. It does not cost money, only a little bit
of your time. Networking is important to bring together a "community
of practice". It appears that everywhere parents and teachers
wanting to establish the Salamanca final statement of " a welcoming
school" still have a long way to go. Networking can offer support by
knowing that somewhere, probably someone has already found an
interesting solution to your problem. Networking helps to see that
you are not utopian in thinking that inclusive education is possible,
together with a strong developmental activation programme helping
the child to acquire higher developmental levels. We plan to
continue and expand the network. It can only be vitalized by your
contributions.
