 Dear Friends,

This is the third Newsletter of the European INCLUES Network. The project has been running for more than a year and still is not at cruising speed. While trying to link pioneering individuals and institutions, interested in implementing inclusive education and cognitive and mediated learning, we have come across many organisational and conceptual challenges, resistance or ignorance. It is the mind of the teacher which has to change. Conferences, workshops, trainings, awareness sessions are all means to shake rusted belief systems. It takes generations to make schools less exclusive. Networking towards this goal helps to create a new culture which will have a less static view on learning and intelligence. INCLUES has worked very hard to contribute, but we've only got three years. We could use some helping hands to join forces. Welcome on board!

Jo Lebeer, University of Antwerp, Belgium, coordinator
