European Network for Inclusive and Cognitive Education supported by the European Commission's Comenius 3 action programme

N°1 June 2004

Editor: Jo Lebeer

Dear Friends,

We are proud to announce you the birth of a new European Network on inclusive and cognitive education. We, this means the core partnership of 11 partners from 8 countries, who have a contract with the EU Commission's Socrates-Comenius programme to set up a network. But we would like the “we” to become a true and much larger network. There is a lot of work to do if we want schools to be less exclusive towards children who are not so successful in learning. Some countries are very advanced in inclusive education, others aren't. We need each other's experience of good and bad practice and that is why networking is important. Welcome to join!
